80 cents

Phoenix and I were looking at some pictures of Dave's parents (Grams and Grandpa) on the computer. They live in Washington state. Phoenix said he wanted to go see them and I said we couldn't because we didn't have enough money. I told him he needed $800 so he ran to my room and ran back out with a handful of coins. We counted them and he had 80 cents. Just 1000 more handfuls of that and he'll have a ticket!

Sequoia "crawls"!

So we decided to have some watermelon for FHE. Sequoia was sitting on the opposite side of the room when she spotted her dad eating one of her favorite foods (she likes food.) She decided to "crawl", well actually scoot on her bum, to the watermelon. I caught the last half of it on video, she had already scooted most of the way before I caught it on tape. But we thought it was really cute. She hates being on her belly but she has found a way to get around anyway!

Congrats Dave!

David just finished his third year in med. school! We sure are glad it's over but it does give us an idea of what the intern year will be like. He has a whole week off and then it's back to work. Phoenix, Sequoia and I have just returned from my uncle's funeral. It was a sad event but we know Uncle Larry is in a better place. My mom just finished reading Twilight and she's hooked. I can't wait for number four.

Lorena's book

So as Lorena's unoffical publicist, I'd like to encourage everyone to spread the word that my sister's book is available on amazon.com. Just type in lorena hanks and it will bring you right to it, or click on my link and it will bring you right to lorena's web sight. If the link won't work just type in lorenahanks.com. It's an amazing book, I can't wait for the sequel!

3 yr. old with a camera

So if you're crazy enough, let your kid loose with a camera and see what happens. This happened sort of unintentionally but I thought it was pretty cute. It sort of shows things from the point of view of a three year old. So enjoy an evening in the life of Phoenix!
